Terms of Service

Effective date: July 17, 2026

1. Who We Are

CaseloadTools ("we," "us," or "our") creates digital productivity tools for speech-language pathologists and other special education professionals. Our products are delivered as Google Workspace documents containing embedded software (Google Apps Script) that runs entirely within your own Google account. You can contact us at [email protected].

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By purchasing, downloading, or using any of our products, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not purchase or use our products.

3. What You Are Buying

Our products are digital goods: template documents with built-in software tools. When you purchase a product, you receive access to a copy of the product file. Our products require a Google account and run inside Google Workspace (Google Docs and related services). They are not compatible with other platforms unless expressly stated in the product description.

4. Google Authorization

Our products use Google Apps Script, which requires you to authorize the product to run within your own Google account the first time you use it. The permissions requested vary by product and are displayed by Google before you approve them. Some products request access to Google Drive in order to create and organize files on your behalf. These permissions are granted by you, to software running in your own account. We never receive access to your Google account, your files, or any data you enter into our products. Because our products are independent tools and not published Google Workspace add-ons, Google may display an "unverified app" notice during authorization; this is expected behavior for this category of software.

5. License

Each purchase grants one individual a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the product for their own professional caseload and duties. You may make copies of the product file for your own use (for example, one copy per student or per meeting) on any device or account you personally control.

You may not:

If your team, school site, or district would like to use a product, contact us at [email protected] about multi-user licensing.

6. Payment and Delivery

Purchases are processed by third-party platforms (such as Lemon Squeezy), which act as the merchant of record and handle all payment information. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Products are delivered digitally, typically immediately after purchase, via the platform through which you purchased.

7. Refunds

Because our products are digital goods that cannot be returned, all sales are final, with one exception: if a product does not function as described and we cannot resolve the issue after you contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of purchase, we will issue a full refund. Refund handling may also be subject to the policies of the platform where you purchased.

8. Professional Responsibility

Our products are organizational and documentation aids. They do not provide legal, clinical, or educational advice, and they do not guarantee compliance with any law, regulation, or district policy, including special education law (such as IDEA) or student privacy requirements (such as FERPA). You remain solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of any documentation you produce, and for using our products in accordance with your employer's and district's policies. Any content generated with our products, including meeting notes, is your work product, not ours.

9. Updates and Support

We may update, improve, or discontinue products at any time. Where feasible, we make updated versions available to existing purchasers, but we do not guarantee updates, ongoing compatibility with future changes to Google Workspace, or any particular level of support. Support inquiries can be sent to [email protected], and we make reasonable efforts to respond promptly.

10. Intellectual Property

All products, including their code, templates, text, and design, are our intellectual property and are protected by copyright. Purchasing a product grants you the license described in Section 5, not ownership of the product itself.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our products are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that products will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with future versions of Google Workspace.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of our products. Our total liability for any claim relating to a product will not exceed the amount you paid for that product.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its effective date. Continued use of our products after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
